Classic Hollywood

I finally finished out my series of Classic Hollywood pictures! The men were a little more difficult to shoot then the women, it was a challenge but I think it turned out good!

Me and the Hubs

The first pic was taken in my front yard and the second one was at Atoka lake with the help from our good friends Jamison and Jared. I wanted something that I could hang up on our wall because we didn't have anything like this from our wedding, the day was to crazy to take time out and pose to much! I'm super excited about the first one the second one was the whole reason for getting dressed up but while we was waiting for the sun to go down I decided to do a quick pic in the yard! So happy I did!!

I had the chance to do whatever project that I wanted to do for my visual validation class, so I decided to do a twist on portraits. I was watching TV one night and kept seeing pictures from the 40's and 50's and thought they were so pretty. So I started doing research on how I could recreate the look. I used hot lights on every picture, which I loved! I had a hair stylist come down to Okmulgee to do hair and makeup, I went to thrift stores to find vintage clothes and even had my Mom make a dress for me. I really loved the way the pictures turned out!

Dalton again

Here is yet another post on my lil nephew Dalton! This is his 3 month pictures. He spent the day with Aunt Deidre and Uncle Tristan. I still can't believe he is 3 Months OLD!! We had a fun day and got some cute shots!

Atoka Fire Department

Atoka hosted a Firefighter Regional School the weekend of January 22 and it all started out with a parade in downtown Atoka. I had an assignment to document an event so I started asking questions about it and learned it was going on ALL weekend. There ended up being over 500 firefighters in Atoka! The top picture is an overall photo of downtown while the parade was going on. I think that there was 69 fire trucks from all over Oklahoma. I almost didn't stop for the second picture, they had the lift up over the street and the sun was hitting it perfect. I'm glad I turned around and got the pic!

Garden of the Gods

These are also taken at Colorado Springs at Garden of the Gods. The bottom picture was taken at the look out point from the gift shop area. The top was was taken while we were driving back to our hotel after we had went to Pikes Peak. I seen the sun rays and thought it would make a nice picture, so I had my new Husband pull over so I could get the shot!

Pikes Peak

This was on the way to the top of Pikes Peak in ,Colorado Springs, while riding in the cog railway. Tristan and I went there for our honeymoon and it was one of many places that we visited while we was there. We both fell is LOVE with Colorado and would love to visit again!
This is at the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs. It was taken at the end of June while I was on my honeymoon. It took me awhile to go through the pics that I had taken, I seen this picture and thought it would be pretty in black and white. Hope you like!
